Hisar: The Fatehabad police on Thursday demolished a house allegedly built on panchayat land in Mirana village by three people linked to drug trafficking. The 6-kanal house was demolished in the presence of administration and police officials following an investigation into the properties and financial activities of Mirana residents Malkit, Surjit Singh and Manjit Kaur. Police estimated the value of the demolished house at around Rs 60 lakh, while the encroached land was described as being worth crores.SP Nikita Khattar said action was taken in accordance with the prescribed legal and administrative procedure.Sadar Ratia SHO SI Sheeshpal led a police team to maintain law and order during the demolition. The accused face multiple cases, including under NDPS Act. An earlier case against Surjit under IPC sections 346, 302, 201, 120-B and 341 was decided in his favour, according to police records. Manjit Kaur is named in two NDPS cases in Ratia.
