Nagpur: The biography of Vidarbha cricketer Faiz Fazal, titled “Faiz Fazal: 55* Unbeaten”, was launched at a private function held at his residence in Mahdibagh Colony on March 22. Written by his wife Tarana Fazal, the book traces his over two-decade-long first-class career, highlighting his discipline, setbacks and resilience beyond the cricket field.The event was attended by Maulana Amiruddin Malak Saheb, NMC commissioner Vipin Itankar, and retired Bombay high court justice Zaka Haq. Former India cricketer Murali Kartik shared insights, while messages poured in from Rahul Dravid, Robin Uthappa, Wasim Jaffer and Karn Sharma, among others.City cricketers, including Akshay Wakhare and Amit Paunikar, were also present. Fazal spoke candidly about his journey, striking an emotional chord with the audience.Published by Vishwakarma Publications, the book is now available online and is expected to inspire aspiring sportspersons.
