VILLUPURAM: PMK founder S Ramadoss, while condemning the raid by the Enforcement Directorate at the residence of the former Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, said using central agencies for political vendetta is a grave threat to democracy. In a statement, Ramadoss said reports revealed that the investigation conducted by the ED did not uncover any incriminating documents or evidence.“This information further strengthens the suspicion that the action was politically motivated from the very beginning. In a democratic system, central investigative agencies must function independently and impartially. However, using such agencies to target political opponents with the intention of damaging their reputation and political influence is deeply concerning,” he said.“For many years, Pinarayi Vijayan has been actively engaged in public life and is widely respected as a leader known for simplicity, integrity and governance focused on public welfare. The ED raid, conducted without any substantial evidence against him, is being viewed by the public as an expression of political vendetta,” Ramadoss said.
