Kolkata: Former Bengal minister Indranil Sen on Wednesday appeared for the second time in a week before Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its Salt Lake office in Kolkata. He is being questioned regarding alleged irregularities in recruitment of civic volunteers in Murshidabad district.Sen reached ED’s office at 11 am. ED had summoned him to appear with documents relating to financial transactions of his entities for the past 10 years.Agency sources said investigators found preliminary information suggesting Sen’s links with alleged irregularities in Murshidabad, where he served as Trinamool Congress’s district observer.Last month, ED questioned Sen in a money-laundering case linked to massArt, an organisation associated with him and his wife. The agency is examining allegations that massArt organised Durga Puja preview shows while allegedly projecting itself as a UNESCO-linked entity. Sen denied the allegations.Meanwhile, a judicial inquiry commission set up by Bengal govt is probing alleged corruption in the tendering process during Sen’s tenure as minister.
