Kanpur: An electric scooter caught fire because of short circuit under Panki police station area on Wednesday. The vehicle was reduced to ashes. Resident of Patrasa, Virendra Mishra, bought the electric scooter about six months ago. On Wednesday, he was commuting to his place of work when, near LML Crossing, smoke began emanating from the vehicle and the scooter caught fire due to short circuit. The flames were intense and Mishra abandoned the scooter which was reduced to ashes.
