Delhi Technological University (DTU) and CSIR–Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic, research, training, and skill-development collaboration between the two premier institutions.
The MoU was signed at Delhi Technological University in the presence of Prof. Vinod Singh, Head, Department of Applied Physics; Prof. Girish Kumar, Dean (R&D); and faculty members of the Department of Applied Physics. The CSIR-CSIO delegation comprised Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, Director, CSIR-CSIO; Mr. Narinder Singh Jassal, Scientist-G & Head-BDG; and Dr. Vishal Chandane, Scientist-D.
Spearheaded by the Department of Applied Physics at DTU, the MoU establishes a framework for sustained institutional collaboration in several areas, including staff exchange activities, student training, permissible exchange of scientific information and library resources, organisation of joint events, joint supervision of graduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students, and joint skill-development initiatives. Speaking about the MoU, Prof. Prateek Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DTU said, “This MoU with CSIR-CSIO is a significant step towards bringing together DTU’s academic and research strengths and CSIR-CSIO’s scientific expertise and infrastructure, opening new avenues for knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary research, and joint scientific initiatives”During the ceremony, Prof. Vinod Singh, Head, Department of Applied Physics, DTU, presented the Scope and Areas of Common Interest and Objectives of Cooperation under the executed MoU. He also highlighted the key achievements and academic and research contributions of the Department of Applied Physics.
Through this institutional partnership, DTU and CSIR-CSIO look forward to developing meaningful and sustained avenues of cooperation that will contribute to research excellence, human-resource development, innovation, and the advancement of science and technology in the country.
