Balasore: A 19-year-old man allegedly strangled his mother to death after she refused to give him money to buy alcohol at Barajpur village under Baripada Sadar police limits in Mayurbhanj district late Thursday night. The accused has been identified as Kuinan Singh (19), while the deceased was his mother, Srimati Singh (56). Police have arrested Kuinia.According to police, Srimati’s husband had died earlier, and the couple had 4 sons and 2 daughters. While the 2 daughters are married, Srimati and her 4 sons were working in Chennai. Recently, Srimati and her second son Kuinan had returned to their native place. Police recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
