A man was caught sleeping on railway tracks at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai on Monday afternoon, halting train movement on the Harbour Line.
The man, who appeared to be intoxicated, was lying on Platform 1 tracks around 3 pm when an incoming train had to stop just in time to avoid an accident.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing shocked onlookers as the train approached just metres from the sleeping man.
Meanwhile, authorities later vacated the man from the tracks, and normal train operations resumed. A case has been registered against him under Section 145 of the Railways Act. The identity of the individual has not been made public so far.
