Kanpur: Chakeri police arrested drug trafficker Ankit Singh Chauhan alias Ankit Tuttal of Chakeri and recovered 101.7 grams of THC Tetrahydrocannabinol Dronabinol American marijuana and 1 gram of charas from him on Monday night. He was produced in court and sent to jail on Tuesday.DCP Crime Shravan Kumar Singh and ADCP Sumit Ramteke said on Tuesday that Lalbangla Police out-post in-charge Ajay Kumar and S-I Kuldeep, along with the force, were conducting checks on Monday night under Chakeri police station limits.Police said a youth on a bike tried to flee. After a chase, police arrested him. DCP Crime Shravan Kumar Singh said 17 serious cases were registered against Ankit at Chakeri, Barra and Panki police stations, including under the NDPS Act and the Arms Act, and for attempt to murder, molestation of women and sexual offences. tnn
