Chennai: Eye care chain Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care on Tuesday posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 55 crore, up 44.6% year-on-year from Rs 38 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.Its total income rose 23.9% to Rs 620 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 501 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA stood at Rs 177 crore in the quarter, up 25.2% from Rs 141 crore in Q1 FY26.“This has been an exceptional quarter for us on multiple fronts. We delivered our highest-ever sequential quarter-on-quarter revenue growth, underscoring the strong momentum across our business. We also set a new record with the launch of 16 greenfield surgical facilities in a single quarter — the highest in our history,” Adil Agarwal, CEO of Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care, said in a statement.Meanwhile, the company’s board has approved the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary in Nigeria, it informed the stock exchanges.Orbit Healthcare Services (Mauritius), a direct wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has proposed incorporating a wholly owned subsidiary in Nigeria. Following the incorporation, the Nigerian entity will become a step-down (indirect) wholly owned subsidiary of the company.The proposal is subject to the receipt of all necessary regulatory, statutory, and government approvals required under the applicable laws of Nigeria and Mauritius, the company said in a regulatory filing.Ends/YK
