HYDERABAD: Civil supplies minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday assured LPG consumers of uninterrupted gas cylinder supply and urged people not to believe rumours that the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affected gas supplies in the state.The minister said the rumours had triggered panic bookings, with daily refill requests rising to 72% of the usual volume. However, he maintained that the govt has adequate stocks and a clear distribution plan.“No need to panic. Do not indulge in panic booking for LPG cylinder refills. Production and supplies are ample. Do not fall prey to misconceptions regarding gas supply. There is no cause for alarm,” Uttam said.
