Global Law Firm Freshfields advises Guangdong Dongfang Precision Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Dongfang Precision), a PRC-headquartered company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, on the sale of its corrugated cardboard packaging production business (Fosber) to Brookfield, a leading global alternative asset manager. The transaction value is approximately US$900 million.

Fosber, headquartered in Europe, is a global leader in the design and production of advanced machinery, parts, and services for the corrugated packaging industry, with its operations across Europe, the US and China.

The transaction was signed on 28 November 2025, and the closing date is 9 April 2026.

The Freshfields team advising on the transaction was led by M&A partner Sarah Su, with support from counsel Peter Li, associate Haohan Li, and trainee Ovi Cheung. Finance advice was provided by partner Daniel French, counsel Celia Zhou, and associate Nathalie Leung.

Tax advice was provided by partner Peter Clements, counsel Samuel Withnall, and associate Jonathan Bowering.
