DMD Advocates has bolstered its Direct Tax Practice with the appointment of Karanjot Singh Khurana as Partner. Prior to joining DMD Advocates, Khurana spent 11 years at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys (LKS), where he honed his expertise across complex direct tax litigation and advisory mandates.
With over a decade in direct tax advisory and litigation, he has represented domestic and international clients, including several Fortune 500 companies, before the full spectrum of judicial and quasi-judicial forums, from Assessing Officers and the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) to Income Tax Appellate Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India.
Khurana’s practice encompasses cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, international tax and transfer pricing, and market entry strategies for foreign entities seeking to establish a presence in India.

Khurana has also advised High Net Worth Individuals and promoter families on estate and succession planning structures, including the use of trusts, LLPs, and holding entities.
