Patna: District magistrate Thiyagarajan S M chaired a meeting on the implementation of the Bihar Coaching Institutes Act, 2010. Officials and coaching representatives attended to discuss mandatory compliance. As per a statement issued by the DM, key requirements include valid registration, one square metre of space per student, and unobstructed exit routes. Fire safety and disaster management norms are compulsory.

Officials said operators must apply for registration or renewal within ten days. Police stations will maintain records of local institutes. Facilities must install high-resolution CCTV systems with a minimum 30-day backup. Complaint boxes and parent notification for student absences are mandatory. Emergency numbers must be prominently displayed. Authorities will carry out regular inspections and penalise violations to ensure student safety.
