Balasore: At least 30 girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya hostel at Sargoda under Bijatala block in Mayurbhanj district fell ill following a diarrhoea outbreak late Wednesday. Several had to be hospitalised, sparking concern among parents and authorities.Officials said more than 30 students reportedly developed symptoms of diarrhoea on Wednesday. A medical team from Bijatala health department rushed to the hostel soon after receiving information and began providing immediate treatment and health check-ups to the affected students.As the condition of 19 students required closer medical attention, they were shifted to Rairangpur sub-divisional hospital. Authorities said all admitted students were under observation and their condition was stable.
