Jalandhar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jalandhar on July 17, Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Wednesday reviewed the arrangements for the event at the redeveloped Jalandhar Cantonment Railway Station and the rally venue.He also held discussions with officials from the police, civil administration and the Railways regarding the preparations.The PM is visiting Punjab to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several major development projects. Dhillon said that the PM would inaugurate the redeveloped railway stations at Jalandhar Cantonment, Mohali, Muktsar and Anandpur Sahib.He further said that besides the railway station redevelopment projects, several other major initiatives aimed at accelerating Punjab’s development would also be launched.Dhillon said that the new national highway projects would be inaugurated to strengthen the state’s infrastructure. New projects at PGIMER Chandigarh will also be launched to expand healthcare facilities. In addition, a new multipurpose auditorium for students at Panjab University will also be inaugurated.He expressed confidence that the people of Punjab would support the BJP’s development agenda in the 2027 assembly elections and that the BJP would form the next govt in the state.MSID:: 132419191 413 |
