Nagpur: A dispute over a delayed parcel delivery escalated into an alleged murder attempt in Ravidas Nagar near Kamptee College, leaving a 28-year-old mechanic critically injured.According to police, Praveen Ghodeswar (21), an online delivery agent, received an angry call from a woman after her parcel delivery was delayed. When she allegedly threatened to escalate the issue, Praveen went to meet her along with his friend, Ashish Dhadade (28), a mechanic who runs an automobile garage near JP Nagar in Old Kamptee.During the meeting, the woman and her relatives confronted Praveen. Dhadade intervened to calm the situation, but a neighbour of the woman allegedly threatened to kill him before the dispute was apparently resolved.Police said the accused later made anonymous calls and lured Dhadade and his friends to the area.Around 10.30pm on July 22, Sachin Bagde, Abhishek Kadbe (19), Sumit Shende (23) and another accused allegedly conspired to attack the group. During the assault, one of the accused allegedly stabbed Dhadade three times and fled the scene.Dhadade was rushed to Kamptee District Hospital and was later shifted to Mayo Hospital. He was subsequently admitted to the ICU of a hospital at Gangabai Ghat. Kamptee police have arrested three accused and rounded up three minors involved in the case.
