NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday issued an advisory in connection with repair work at the Azad Market Railway Underpass (RUB) on Ram Bagh Road.According to the advisory, traffic movement in the area will be affected due to repairs of the damaged M.S. sheet side portion at Box No. 03 of the Kishan Ganj/Azad Market Railway Underpass.The stretch between Azad Market Chowk and the railway underpass will remain completely closed to vehicular traffic from 10 pm on May 30 until 5 am on June 1.After the reopening of the route, traffic diversions will continue to be implemented every night from 9 pm to 5 am between June 1 and June 10 to facilitate the repair work.As part of the diversion plan, vehicles coming from Azad Market Chowk will be redirected via DCM Chowk, Rani Jhansi Road, Idgah Chowk and New Rohtak Road.Similarly, traffic approaching from the St Stephen’s Hospital side will be diverted through the Rani Jhansi Flyover, Filmistan, Idgah Chowk, Rani Jhansi Road and New Rohtak Road.Delhi Traffic Police advised commuters to avoid the Azad Market Railway Underpass during the restriction period and use alternative routes wherever possible.Motorists have been urged to plan their journeys in advance, follow traffic rules and comply with instructions issued by traffic personnel deployed in the area to ensure smooth traffic movement during the repair work.
