Ludhiana: Deputy commissioner Himanshu Jain has stated that nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP)-2026 have been invited by the Govt of India to recognize exceptional achievements of children across the country.The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is a prestigious national award conferred upon children below 18 years of age, as on July 31, 2026 who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding contribution in various fields including bravery, social service, environment, sports, art & culture, and science & technology.Special emphasis has been laid on encouraging nominations of talented children from among girls, weaker sections, SC and ST communities, and divyang persons to ensure inclusive participation.The nomination process is completely online through the Rashtriya Puraskar portal. The nomination window is open till July 31, 2026, and applications received within this period only will be considered, he stated. In this regard, the nominations or recommendations for the award will be received only online through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in) designed for this purpose, he stated.
