Karachi Kings captain David Warner has addressed chatter about a viral video that appeared to show a heated exchange between him and teammate Moeen Ali during their PSL match against Rawalpindiz. The clip, widely shared on social media platform X, showed Warner looking animated as he walked towards Moeen before Head of Strategy and Team Director Haider Azhar stepped in and guided him away. The visuals quickly sparked speculation among fans, with many suggesting there was tension within the Karachi camp and that two senior players were involved in an on-field argument.

Warner responded to one of the clips on social media, breaking his silence on the matter.

“I said to @HaiderAzhar to go first and shake hands,” Warner wrote on X.

Azhar also reacted to the matter as his post indicated no trouble in paradise for Karachi, as he wrote, “Not true! Both of them were making fun of me!”

Karachi Kings registered a five-wicket win over Rawalpindi, chasing down a target of 198 with four balls to spare. David Warner led the way with a solid half-century, laying the foundation for the chase with a composed effort at the top. The momentum was then carried forward by Azam Khan, who turned the game with a powerful innings. He smashed 74 off just 34 balls, striking six sixes and six fours, putting the bowlers under pressure throughout. His aggressive knock ensured Karachi stayed ahead of the required rate and sealed the chase comfortably, finishing the game with overs still in hand.

Meanwhile, the PSL 2026 table is beginning to take shape as the early rounds unfold, with Karachi Kings moving to the top after their win over Rawalpindiz on Thursday night. They now have six points from three matches, setting the early pace in the tournament. Multan Sultans are close behind with four points from two wins, while Peshawar Zalmi remain in the mix with three points after a win and a no-result. Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators occupy the middle spots with a win each. Islamabad United have had a mixed start and sit just above the bottom, while Rawalpindiz and Hyderabad Kingsmen are yet to get off the mark.
