Palghar: The Public Works Department (PWD) restored a 160-metre stretch of road between Dahanu and Bordi that was washed away during the recent heavy rains, completing the emergency repair work within two days.The torrential downpour caused severe damage to the Zai-Bordi-Revas-Reddy State Highway (State Highway No. 4), where two carriageway sections measuring about 60 metres in length near Narpad-Ambewadi were completely washed away, disrupting traffic between Dahanu and Bordi.The PWD began repair work on the afternoon of July 24.By July 25, officials completed one side of the road restoration and culvert-related work at the damaged stretch in Narpad. The entire repair work was completed by the evening of July 26, restoring connectivity on the route.
