Kota: State chief secretary V Srinivas Sunday visited Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota district and later chaired a review meeting at the collectorate auditorium on key infrastructure and public service issues, including the Kota-Bundi greenfield airport project.Srinivas began his day with a visit to the tiger reserve along with district collector Piyush Samaria, starting from Kishorpura Jetty and travelling by boat along the Chambal River up to Garadia Mahadev. CCF Sonal Jorihar, field director Sugnaram Jat, DCF Aproov Krishan Shrivastav, and Muthu S were also present with him. During the safari, Srinivas observed the region’s natural landscape and diverse wildlife. Forest officials briefed him on ongoing conservation measures, including inter-state tiger translocation, prey base augmentation, habitat improvement, and grassland development. They also highlighted efforts to ensure water availability for wildlife during summer by lifting water from the Chambal River using solar energy. Along with this, Srinivas reviewed field patrolling systems, including the use of M-STrIPES app, as well as foot and boat patrol operations.
