Hazaribag: Unidentified criminals decamped with gold worth around Rs 20 lakh from outside a jewellery shop under Chouparan police station last night, police said on Thursday. Barhi SDPO Ajit Kumar Vimal said that an FIR has been lodged by the shop owner Alakhdeo Narayan Prasad and police have begun probe. In his complaint, Prasad said that he had parked his two-wheeler in front of his shop and went inside for some work. But when he came out of the shop, he found that the dicky of his two-wheeler was broken and entire gold stock was stolen. The SDPO said that the owner pegged the loss to Rs 20 lakh but they are verifying the details.
