Nagpur: Crime branch teams on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids across the city and highways, recovering firearms including a pistol.Officials said the coordinated operation targeted illegal arms, illicit liquor and other organised violations that often operate from roadside eateries and hidden dens. Seized weapons will be sent for examination.Three actions were taken under the Arms Act. Four cases were registered under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, while another four actions followed against dhabas serving alcohol.One case was registered under the NDPS Act. Police also initiated one action under the Gambling Act in a satta-related matter. Four cases were registered for smoking in public.Teams additionally checked 15 hotels and dhabas on the highway during the drive.
