Chennai: A 28-year-old man died of electrocution at the shooting spot of upcoming Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Jailer 2′ near Panaiyur on East Coast Road (ECR) on Thursday. Police identified the deceased as T Karthikeyan, a member of the film crew. Sources said a few scenes for the movie were being shot near Kanathur. According to police, Karthikeyan was carrying out electrical connection work at the shooting spot when he accidentally came into contact with a live wire and suffered an electric shock. Crew members rushed him to a hospital in an ambulance, but he died on the way. Kanathur police recovered the body and sent it to the Govt Royapettah Hospital for postmortem. Sources said Rajinikanth was scheduled to join the shoot around 2pm. However, filming was reportedly cancelled following the incident.
