Panaji: State govt is launching a four-month, statewide creator-led storytelling programme to document citizens’ experiences of govt schemes and services, including what is working, who is benefiting and where gaps remain. The Goa Impact Drive (GID), under the umbrella narrative ‘Kharem Goem — The Real Goa’, aims to supplement official dataand claims with on-ground public feedback. The findings will be shared with govt departments as citizen-led feedback to help identify areas that need improvement.GID will run for four months, with a seven-day creator expedition forming a key component of the programme. During the expedition, national and Goan creators will travel together in branded buses across different regions of the state to document stories of development, livelihoods, enterprise, innovation, social welfare and sustainability.“The bus becomes the moving base; Goa becomes the newsroom. Creators are given a State to explore, not a script,” a senior govt official said.“At every stop, creators ask five questions: What changed? Who benefits (and who has not yet)? What made it possible? Who is making it happen? What comes next for Goa by 2037 and 2047?” the officer said. The drive will cover five regions — north, central, interior/east, south and coastal/west — with stops including Mapusa, Pernem, Panaji, Porvorim, Ponda, Sattari, Margao, Quepem, Mormugao, Vasco, Chorao and Dona Paula.“The drive is not influencer promotion. It is experience-led public storytelling,” the official said, adding that credibility would be the benchmark for all deliverables. The initiative also aims to broaden Goa’s national narrative beyond tourism, highlight its contribution to Viksit Bharat 2047 and support Viksit Goa 2037, while improving last-mile awareness of schemes under Swayampurna Goa.It will also engage youth through campus dialogues, school programmes, contests and hotspot activations, while creating a library of citizen stories, documentaries and govt-owned digital channels. Impact will be measured through reach, engagement, sentiment and narrative shifts.
