Budgam, Jul 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that terror attacks would neither weaken the people nor allow the perpetrators to achieve their objectives, expressing confidence that the Jammu and Kashmir Police would conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

The Chief Minister made the remarks while paying tribute to a police head constable from Beerwah who was killed in the recent terror attack in Anantnag.

Abdullah described the killing of the police head constable from Beerwah as a significant loss. “It is deeply unfortunate that a police head constable from Beerwah lost his life in the terror attack in Anantnag. He made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty while protecting the people,” he said.

He said such attacks would not deter the resolve of the people or the security forces. “These cowardly attacks will not weaken us, nor will those behind them succeed in their objectives,” Abdullah said.

Paying homage to the slain policeman, the CM prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.

“I pray to Almighty Allah to grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous and give patience and courage to his family during this difficult time,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the investigating agencies, Abdullah said the Jammu and Kashmir Police would carry out a comprehensive investigation into the attack and ensure that everyone involved was identified and brought to justice.
