Varanasi: The two-day AO CMF (Craniomaxillofacial Surgery) course on ‘Management of Facial Trauma’, organised by the department of oral and maxillofacial Surgery, faculty of dental sciences, Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University, began on Friday.BHU vice chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi highlighted the need for interdisciplinary collaboration between dental and medical specialties in treating complex maxillofacial injuries.The AO CMF Course aims to provide surgeons, residents, and fellows with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for the diagnosis and management of facial trauma, including mandibular and midface fractures, treatment planning, surgical techniques, and management of complications.
