Patna: Online counselling for admission to 24 undergraduate programmes at the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) for the 2026-27 academic session began on Thursday. The last date for registration is July 16.CUSB deputy registrar Kumar Kaushal said candidates who have qualified the National Testing Agency (NTA)-conducted entrance test and wish to take admission to the university’s undergraduate programmes must register on the CUSB Samarth portal.Candidates can participate in the counselling process by paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 per programme for General, OBC and EWS categories, and Rs 200 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.Kaushal said the university has introduced three new five-year integrated UG-PG programmes in biotechnology, bioinformatics and environmental science from the 2026-27 academic session.CUSB public relations officer Mudassir Alam said the university is offering admission to 858 seats across 24 undergraduate programmes this year. These include five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB, four-year BSc (Hons) Agriculture, four-year integrated BA BEd and BSc BEd programmes, as well as five-year integrated courses in geography, statistics, chemistry, mathematics, psychology, political science and international relations, history, sociology, physics, English, economics, commerce and Hindi.The first merit list for admission to various courses will be released on July 21. Candidates selected in the list can complete their admission formalities by paying the prescribed fee between July 21 and 23.The list of provisionally admitted undergraduate students will be published on July 30, while classes for the new batch will commence on August 4, Alam added.
