Nagpur: The Crime Branch solved a theft case reported from the Hudkeshwar area and recovered valuables worth Rs4.4 lakh. Sunanda Lokhande, a resident of Akash Palace, was alone at home on March 11 afternoon when a minor stole cash worth Rs50,000 and gold, silver ornaments valued at Rs2.24 lakh from her cupboard. A case was registered under Section 305(A) IPC at Hudkeshwar Police Station.Acting on reliable information, Crime Branch officers nabbed the juvenile, who confessed to the crime. Police recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs4.4 lakh from his possession. The accused and seized items were handed over to Hudkeshwar police for further action.
