All of them then forced Sachan to unlock his mobile phone.
“When I did not comply, I was forcibly taken to the police station, where they thrashed me severely. I was kicked, punched and hit with batons leading to the rupture of my eardrum,” he claimed. He said when his kin reached the police station in the morning, he was released on challan after being booked under breach of peace sections. DCP Deependra Nath Chaudhary said the victim’s mother informed him about the matter. “ADCP South has been tasked with the probe. If police personnel are found guilty, action will be taken,” he said.
