TNNCalangute: A tourist police unit constable died after a Maharashtra-registered car collided with his two-wheeler at Sauntawaddo, Baga, at 4am on Sunday.The deceased, Ketan Gawade (29), a resident of Cumbharjua, suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to the district hospital in Mapusa and later shifted to GMC, Bambolim, where he died during treatment.The driver of the car, Kolhapur resident Sajid Sheikh, is absconding. The car owner has been traced and called to Calangute police station. Further investigation is under way.
