NEW DELHI: Congress once again demanded the resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the question paper leak incidents and CBSE-related issues. With technical glitches hitting the CUET exam as well, Congress alleged that the Modi government has a “disastrous record” on education and listed a series of instances of examination-related lapses since 2014.
“After destroying the credibility of exams from NEET and UGC NET to CUET and CBSE, hollowing out UGC funding, shutting schools and pushing India’s education system into chaos, will PM Modi finally fix accountability or continue shielding failure? Dharmendra Pradhan must resign immediately as Union education minister…,” said Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera at a party presser on Monday.
Congress asked why CBSE “ignored internal warnings” from teachers and experts about 36 major flaws in the digital evaluation system and asked who ordered the dilution of CBSE tender norms.
