Agartala: The upcoming by-election in Tripura’s Dharmanagar assembly constituency is considered a crucial test for Congress to revitalise its position in the state’s political landscape.To prepare for the by-election scheduled for April 9, the Congress has submitted a list of 40 star campaigners to the Election Commission of India. The by-poll is being held following the unfortunate passing of BJP MLA and Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen.In a letter All India Congress Committee (AICC), informed Election Commission that Jairam Ramesh, Sachin Pilot, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, Imran Pratapgarhi, Alka Lamba, and Christopher Tilak, along with local leaders will campaign for the by-poll scheduled on April 9.Congress state president Ashis Kr Saha said, “We have initiated our outreach efforts. The star campaigners are set to arrive in Tripura on March 31 and will continue their campaigning activities until April 5.”
