Bengaluru: Police Friday clarified there will be no “peaceful human chain” by “Cockroach Janata Party Karnataka” in front of Town Hall Sn.“No application or permission has been received from any individual, organisation or any political party seeking permission for such gathering. No permission for the said programme or the use of the location has been given to anyone by the GBA office,” the office of city police commissioner stated in a press release.“The public has been advised not to forward or share any such message on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Twitter, and to refrain from assembling near Town Hall,” the note added.As per the Karnataka high court order, all protests, dharnas, and rallies are permitted only at Freedom Park in the city, and not at other locations, including Town Hall.Inputs by Nyasa Gupta
