Patna: Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), will launch a 60-hour Advanced Certificate Programme in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics from Nov 21 to Dec 20.The last date to apply for the course is Nov 17.The Cyber Crime and Security Unit (CCSU), Bihar Police, will be the law enforcement partner for the programme, which will be conducted over five weekends with six hours of classes each day.The course has been designed against the backdrop of rising ransomware attacks, digital fraud, online financial crimes and threats to critical infrastructure. It will combine technical, legal, investigative and governance perspectives, with emphasis on securing systems, investigating cyber incidents and preserving digital evidence.The eight-module curriculum will cover network security, ethical hacking and penetration testing, malware analysis, incident response, digital forensics, cybercrime investigation and OSINT, cyber laws, privacy and governance, including ISO/IEC 27001 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. A capstone exercise and assessment will conclude the programme.Participants will receive practical exposure to tools including Kali Linux, Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Autopsy, FTK Imager, Volatility and Maltego, besides C-DAC’s indigenous forensic tools.The programme is open to students, IT professionals, police and investigators, prosecutors, judicial officers, govt officials and compliance and risk professionals.
