Kolkata: Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to visit the KMC headquarters on Monday, when the civic body will begin a five-day cleanliness drive. The drive is being undertaken ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s arrival on June 20, the eve of World Yoga Day. According to a KMC source, senior officials of several civic departments have been asked to participate in the special drive.“We have been asked to take adequate steps to ensure that cleanliness begins at the ward level and goes up to the KMC headquarters. We have begun our work, which will continue until the next weekend,” said a KMC official.
