Ahmedabad: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 1,098 crore across Ahmedabad and adjoining constituencies on Sunday, officials said. The projects span infrastructure, housing, water supply and urban rejuvenation works. A key highlight of the programme is the inauguration of the Sattadhar flyover in Ghatlodia, expected to significantly ease traffic congestion at the busy Sattadhar Junction. The flyover measures 975 metres in length and 16.6 metres in width, with a four-lane carriageway of 7.5 metres. The CM will also inaugurate 882 houses and nine shops constructed under the Ramdevpir Tekra Slum Redevelopment Scheme in Juna Vadaj at a cost of Rs 118.2 crore. Several water and lake rejuvenation projects will be inaugurated, including an overhead water tank at Balol Nagar Water Distribution Station costing Rs 5.7 crore and the development of Ognaj Lake, Jagatpur Lake and Thaltej Lake at a combined cost of over Rs 20 crore. In addition, the statue of Bharat Mata at Nava Vadaj Circle will be unveiled. Overall, 19 development projects worth Rs 322.8 crore will be inaugurated across the Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad East and Ahmedabad West Lok Sabha constituencies. Foundation stones will also be laid for 49 new projects estimated at Rs 673.4 crore.
