Shillong: Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma chaired a virtual meeting with the minister in charge of the general administration department (GAD) and senior officials to review ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects related to Meghalaya Houses across the country.The meeting reviewed the status of construction, expansion and new projects, as well as the functioning of existing facilities. Projects in Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Vellore and Kolkata were discussed, with a focus on improving infrastructure, service delivery and operational efficiency.According to an official statement, the CM reviewed timelines and directed officials to ensure timely execution while maintaining quality standards. He stressed the need for effective planning to meet the growing requirements of Meghalaya residents travelling outside the state.Discussions also focused on strengthening the management of Meghalaya Houses to improve services for students, patients seeking medical treatment, govt officials and other citizens. The CM emphasised that the facilities should be welcoming and well-managed.He directed the department to monitor implementation closely and expedite pending works to ensure completion within stipulated timelines.
