Jaipur: A CJP team inspected two govt primary schools in Bhatta Basti area of Shastri Nagar Sunday following complaints from locals about poor educational and infrastructural conditions.During the visit, the team found that one govt primary school building, though ready for use, has reportedly remained closed for several years. Residents said children from the locality are being forced to travel to distant schools, creating difficulties for both students and their parents.The team also inspected another govt primary school in the area and found its condition to be “highly inadequate”. CJP representatives said that the school is being run from a temporary cage-like structure without a proper building or essential basic facilities.CJP national organising joint secretary Rekha Sharma, along with representatives Shashi Meena and Vishal Saini, visited the schools, interacted with residents and reviewed the situation on the ground.“Children should not be made to study in unsafe and undignified circumstances. The administration must make proper and safe educational arrangements for children of both schools within seven days. If the issue is not resolved within the given timeframe, the organisation, along with locals, will launch a major public agitation,” Sharma said.CJP has also demanded immediate opening of the closed govt school building and provision of a safe, adequate building with basic amenities for the second school. CJP said children in the area must be ensured access to quality education in a safe environment.
