Jaipur: Cities across Rajasthan will see intensified cleanliness drives, beautification of public spaces, decorative lighting in markets and maintenance of fire safety equipment ahead of Diwali. Chief Secretary V Srinivas directed officials at a meeting with JDA officials Saturday to complete the works within stipulated timelines.Trade associations will be encouraged to decorate and illuminate markets, with exemplary efforts to be rewarded. Officials will also conduct regular inspections of Annapurna kitchens. Progress on the 100-day action plan for urban local bodies, covering cleanliness drives, public space maintenance, city beautification and improvement of public facilities, will be monitored through dated, geo-tagged before-and-after photographs and online reports.
