Ranchi: CID on Tuesday questioned former Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) chairperson L Khiangte for over eight hours in connection with alleged irregularities in several exams, including the 14th civil services examination. He has been summoned again on Wednesday.Sources said CID officers questioned Khiangte about various aspects of the examinations under investigation, including selection of agency to conduct the exams, redressal of complaints and his foreign trips. Khiangte arrived at the CID office around 11 am in a hired car, apparently to avoid media attention.CID has registered a case over the alleged irregularities in examinations conducted by JPSC and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). As part of its investigation, the agency has conducted searches at several locations, including the JPSC office, and arrested 10 people. Those arrested include JPSC deputy controller of examinations Shweta Gupta.
