Hyderabad: Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha has directed officials to complete the construction of the 100-bed Area Hospital at Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district by the end of Aug so that it is ready for inauguration in Sept.Reviewing the progress of govt hospitals in the Munugode assembly constituency at the secretariat on Tuesday, the minister instructed health officials to install all required medical equipment and complete the recruitment of doctors and other staff before the hospital is commissioned.“The facility will house a mother and child health centre and a trauma care centre, strengthening emergency and maternal healthcare services in the region,” he said.The minister also assured that the govt would examine the feasibility of establishing a 100-bed Area Hospital at Chandur following a request from Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.He further directed officials to examine proposals to upgrade the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Nampally, Nalgonda and Munugode into Community Health Centres (CHCs) to improve access to secondary-level healthcare.
