Gurdaspur: A video of a child being allegedly mauled to death by stray dogs went viral on the internet on Friday. According to reports, the tragedy struck a labourer family in Dhariwal when a two-year-old child identified as Smile was attacked by the dogs.According to information, the incident occurred when Smile was playing outside his home and his mother was making tea. Stray dogs roaming in the lane grabbed the child through the gate, dragged him out, and began biting him severely. Hearing the child’s screams, nearby residents rushed to the spot, and chased the dogs away.
The child was taken to a private hospital in Dhariwal for treatment, where doctors, seeing his critical condition, referred him to the civil hospital in Gurdaspur. However, the child died.
