CHENNAI: In her first ever communication to chief minister C Joseph Vijay, Chennai mayor R Priya demanded release of Rs 60 lakh councillor funds for 200 wards.In her letter to the CM, the mayor said the funds had not been released, and it was affecting civic works in the city.Councillors are entitled for Rs 60 lakh ward development funds, and the mayor is entitled for Rs 4 crore worth special development funds.The mayor wrote the letter on Aug 26 and was yet to get a response from the chief minister.
