JAIPUR: ‘Chaiwalas’ founder Rohit Sharma allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Dausa.The 30-year-old, a resident of Saket Colony, was found hanging at his home on Saturday afternoon, news agency PTI reported.Family members broke open the door, brought him down and rushed him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead, according to officials at Kotwali police station.His body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.Police said the reason for the alleged suicide has not yet been ascertained.Sharma’s father, Hitendra Mohan Sharma, runs a medical store, while his wife works as a teacher at a private school. The couple has a seven-year-old son.Sharma began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 17 while pursuing nursing studies.He founded the ‘Chaiwalas’ startup in Jaipur.He was also involved in social service activities in Dausa, PTI reported.Sharma opened his first tea cafe at Shipra Path in Mansarovar, Jaipur, and later expanded the venture by opening another outlet in the city.He eventually set up seven ‘Chaiwalas’ outlets across different cities.Around six months ago, he shut down all the ‘Chaiwalas’ outlets and turned towards spirituality.He was seen visiting several religious places.(With agency inputs)
