Kolkata: The Union rural development ministry will conduct a four-day training programme for Bengal govt officials this week to accelerate the implementation of the VB-G RAM G scheme. According to officials, the programme will be held from Tuesday to Friday at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town. Senior officials from the Union ministry will train officers from the state, district, block and gram panchayat levels on implementing the scheme and other rural development programmes.The absence of elected functionaries has emerged as a major hurdle in implementing VB-G RAM G, which was introduced in West Bengal on July 1.
