Chennai: The Union railway ministry approved additional stoppages for three trains at Pudukkottai, Podanur and Tiruvallur stations following requests raised for passenger convenience.In a communication to Union minister L Murugan, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Rameswaram–Ayodhya Cantt Shraddha Sethu Express will stop at Pudukkottai, the Mettupalayam–Tuticorin Express at Podanur, and the MGR Chennai Central–Coimbatore Kovai Express at Tiruvallur.Murugan said the decision would improve travel convenience for people in the surrounding regions and support local economic growth, and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for acting on railway-related requests from Tamil Nadu.
