T’puram: The second-phase training programme for officials involved in the population enumeration under Census 2027 began in the district on Monday.District collector Anju K S inaugurated the first batch of the training programme at the collectorate.The training is being organised ahead of the population enumeration scheduled to begin in Jan and Feb 2027. The sessions focus on data collection, guidelines for interacting with the public and district-level supervision of the census process.The PE Mobile App will be used for digital data collection as part of the exercise.The training will be conducted in two batches until Thursday. District-level officials from various departments, nodal officers, and charge officers are participating in the programme.Deputy director Nisha V C and statistical investigator Sreelakshmi from the census directorate are leading the training sessions.
