Celina Jaitly misses sons’ first day of school amid divorce battle with Peter Haag: ‘What I wouldn’t give for one morning hug, one kiss & one ‘Bye, Mummy’

Celina Jaitly is going through an emotional phase as her sons Winston, Viraaj and Arthur begin a new school year while she remains separated from them amid her ongoing divorce proceedings with estranged husband Peter Haag. The actor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for her children, recalling the school memories she once created with them and expressing how much she wishes she could be present for their first day.

Sharing pictures with her boys, Celina wrote, “Saying this here since I cannot reach you my boys: A new school year begins. What I wouldn’t give for one morning hug, one kiss & one ‘Bye, Mummy.’ I once covered your schoolbooks. Today, I cover you in prayers. All the best for your first day of school, my darling Winston, Viraaj & Arthur.”She went on to remember the little traditions and preparations she once enjoyed with her children, including wrapping their schoolbooks and making ladybug Schultüten for them in Dubai. She also recalled baking Schnecke and Laadi Pavs for school in Austria, describing those everyday experiences as moments of “extraordinary happiness.”

Celina also opened up about the possibility of being away from her sons for much longer. She wrote, “I will not be able to be there for your first day of school, & I fear I may miss all your school days for the rest of 2026. My heart breaks at this painful situation.”The actor added that despite the difficulties between the adults, she wants her children to be able to share their lives freely with both parents.“Whatever happens between adults, my deepest wish is that you can freely share these everyday moments with both your parents,” she wrote, while wishing her sons kind friends, supportive teachers and a safe and loving classroom.

Addressing her children directly, Celina emphasised that they should never feel pressured to choose between their parents.“My boys, you never have to choose. You can love both Mummy & Daddy. Mummy will always support that. You never need to feel guilty about loving either of us,” she wrote.She further added, “Whenever you can reach out, Mama is here. My love has no conditions & no distance can change it. You carry your schoolbags today, my loves. Mummy carries you in every heartbeat.”

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag separated after 15 years of marriage. The actor has filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act in a Mumbai court, alleging domestic violence by her husband. Peter has denied the allegations. The legal dispute has also involved matters concerning their children, property and finances. Celina has alleged that she was denied access to her sons after returning to India, while her legal team has raised concerns regarding property transactions and financial control during the marriage. Peter’s father has also issued a legal notice to Celina, accusing her of making defamatory statements.
